I absolutely love fairy tales! I love to read them. I love to watch them. I love to listen to them. I love fairy tales! That's why I get so excited every year when it's time to teach the students about fairy tales, folktales and fables.
One really fun thing to do with the kids is have them write an acrostic poem using the title of the story we read that day. Here's an example of an acrostic poem written by a first grader about one of my favorites, Cinderella.

I have a free template in my Teachers Pay Teachers store for the students to use to write an acrostic poem about fairy tales in general, Cinderella, The Frog Prince, Rumpelstiltskin and Thumbelina. Here's the link if you want to download it: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Fairy-Tale-Acrostic-Poem-Template-Cinderella-Thumbelina-Rumpelstiltskin-Frog-5161783
